Each morning, we indulged in a good buffet breakfast, setting us up for days filled with exploration and skiing nearby—a good escape for all. The guest room we occupied boasted a private balcony overlooking the mountains, which provided a perfect backdrop for sipping morning tea—a luxury I never take for granted.
